As a Field Service Engineer, you will be assigned to the Electrification Business Area for Global Markets based in Doha, Qatar. In this position, you will be reporting to the Senior Service Engineer and responsible for executing low to medium complexity tasks based on ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Providing quality services to the customers and identifying new service business opportunities for ABB.

Your responsibilities:
  • Supporting local teams and service partners in the installation and commissioning of chargers.
  • Performing service tasks such as installation and commissioning of equipment, routine maintenance, and identifying technical problems and analyzing solutions.
  • Delivering tasks based on customer expectations and identifying new sales opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Keeping good relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available in accordance with the requirements.
  • Providing advice on complex electrical or mechanical problems based on data obtained from cloud-connected service systems.
  • Making sure the troubleshooting activities are carried out effectively and providing solutions to prevent future equipment failures.
  • Providing improvement actions on operational aspects and customer service to the management.
  • Making sure that safety rules and guidelines are practiced and followed in the team and reporting if any deviations occur.

Your background:
  • Bachelor's' or Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the same field.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of communication protocols, Linux, and scripting.
  • Power Electronics experience is an advantage.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
