About this role: Automation Technician
- Taking personal responsibility for own safety, adhering to all policies and following procedures as outlined in the FSG HSEQ Management System;
- A separate letter of appointment will outline any additional HSEQ responsibilities;
- Maintain a high level of competence as an Automation Technician;
- Through knowledge and experience sharing, be accountable for the development of self, peers, and team;
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping during and after tasks.
- To achieve the assigned targets;
- Performing all tasks as per the Skill Matrix for which the position holder is competent;
- In order to repair and maintain PTMs and any related equipment under the ALBA 6 LTSA contract;
- To perform fault finding and repairs in a breakdown situation, and to assist peers in fault diagnosis;
- Providing on-site automation support to customers as and when needed;
- Assist with other general duties as requested;
- Ensure that all equipment and tools comply with relevant state laws;
- Automated work must reflect FSG's high quality standards;
- Maintaining the priority of tasks to ensure completion within the deadline;
- Identify and advise on product development and improvement opportunities (with a suggestion box, 5S, etc.).
What you need to bring:
College/University Education:
Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electronics, Automation, or Instrumentation
Other Qualifications:
- PLC programing
- Wireless and wired networking
- Successful completion of an automation apprenticeship is a plus
Licenses/Certifications:
- Driving Licence
- Forklift Licence is a plus
- First Aid Certificate (not essential)
- Overhead Crane Licence is a plus
Training:

Important:
Excellent command of spoken and written English is a must. Arabic is a plus
