Job Description:

Greetings! Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock is part of Siemens Mobility. We provide short-distance, regional, and long-distance rolling stock, as well as passenger and freight transportation products and systems. Transporting passengers in a safe and comfortable environment while also meeting economic and environmental requirements is our priority. Future-oriented products enable cost-effective operations while reducing environmental impact and conserving resources. As part of our growing team, we are adding a Maintenance Technician- Electronics. Maintenance technicians perform preventative maintenance, repairs and installations of complex manufacturing equipment such as robotic welders, CNC machines, hydraulic presses, remote controlled equipment movers, three-phase rectifiers, cranes, hoists, pumps, motors and other industrial equipment. Production depends on these systems and requires maximum uptime to meet production goals.

You will be doing the following:

• Performs technical analysis and completes repairs and work orders, with specific emphasis on electrical systems: motors, pumps, HVAC, welder machines, overhead cranes, switchboards, distribution systems, transformers, circuit breakers, powered rail track, and drive units.
• Prepares machines and equipment for operations by ramping up, setting up, and starting them.
• Contributes to installation projects on site and supports industrial engineers.
• Maintains technical documentation of processes and equipment

To succeed, you will need:

• The ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&IDs, and blueprints.
• Three-phase power is a strong suit.
• Motor and motion control experience.
• Siemens Sinumeric CNC experience
• Controls experience with Siemens STEP7
• Experience with Heidenhain encoders and scales
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mass, motion, electrical charge, and thermodynamics.
• Understand the components used in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits.
• Detailed and organized.
• Possessing a can-do attitude.
• Safety-oriented.

If you had:

• A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience working in a production or processing plant for 3-5 years.
• Excel, Project, and PowerPoint proficient
• Experience working with VFDs and servo drives.
• An understanding of motion control components, such as linear bearings, gears, and splines, is a plus.
• An understanding of rectifiers and inverters.
