Job Description:
An administrator is needed for SAIC in Bahrain. A qualified candidate will be part of a small, agile, embedded team that will provide on-site Tier 1 support including system administration, network administration, communication, and infrastructure. In any exercise or operation where C2 systems are required by the Regional Combat Command, embedded personnel will be available. Team members provide technical support for C2 systems at garrisons and deployed locations. These sites shall also perform any necessary support for all C2FoS deployment sites within RCC's Area of Responsibility (AOR) based on a need-to-know basis.
Management of switches, routers, firewalls, and virtual private network (VPN) gateways are common duties; responsibilities also involve ensuring the security of the network.
Hours of Operation:
Support for each fielded system is available five days a week. During contingency operations (deployments or exercises), work hours exceeding 40 hours per week per person may be required; an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations. Core operating hours at each location are typically between 0800 and 1700.
Qualifications
Required Education And Experience:
- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters with related experience.
- Six years' of experience in network administration, setup and sustainment support of deployable C2 programs or other deployable programs of a similar level of scope will be accepted in lieu of education.
Required Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. A minimum of a Secret clearance will be required prior to the first day of employment.
Required Certification:
Must possess the following training and certifications or equivalent:
- Cisco Certified Network Association (CCNA)
- Security +
Required Travel:
Travel required up to 50% of the time.
