- When safety permits, you will travel to medical device manufacturers throughout India as a Medical Devices Auditor. By evaluating their ISO 13485 quality management systems, you will facilitate improved performance among these manufacturers.
- During your first six months as a Medical Device Auditor, you'll be trained in ISO 13485 Lead Auditor training, MDSAP (Medical Device Single Audit Programme), and MDR (Medical Device Regulation). You will first observe audits conducted by medical device manufacturers around India and then conduct them independently, on-site and remotely, on your own.
- Typically, after being fully trained, you'll conduct an audit on site or remotely, prepare your reports, and participate in planning your audit schedule.
- As a member of the ISO 13485 EIMEA Delivery Team, you will continue to develop and implement MDR.
To succeed in this career, you must:
- Have worked as a full-time employee in the medical devices industry for 4 years. You must have experience in product realisation; either Design, R&D and/or Manufacturing, Servicing/Repair and/or production engineering
- Be degree educated in a discipline relevant to active devices e.g. electro-mechanical, electronic/electrical, biomedical engineering or similar.
- Demonstrate your familiarity with the software development lifecycle (ISO/IEC 62304/IEC 62366).
- Have at least 2 years of experience working in an environment with a Quality Management System
- Fluency in English is essential. Those with additional language skills are also welcome
- By conducting remote audits and travelling frequently across the India region as safety allows, you can be resilient and meet audit delivery obligations
