We are seeking a Field Service Engineer who will perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on our instruments for clinical diagnostics, life science, and BioPharma customers based in Indianapolis, IN and traveling between 50% and 75% of the time. Responsibilities:
- Offer customer site service for all CDG/LSG products, including emergency service.
- Provides proactive preventive maintenance to maximize system uptime.
- Make sure customers are satisfied and repeat business is assured.
- Holds inventory of parts and maintains leased vehicles for the company.
- As part of his administrative duties, he prepares FDA-compliant service documentation.
- Reporting expenses accurately and keeping track of time are other aspects of this job.
- A regular product update training program must be maintained in the training database.
- Travel is necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics or related field equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical, electronic, optical, or robotics equipment in biomedical engineering or a medical diagnostics environment; or a BA degree and 1 year of equivalent experience.
- Troubleshooting skills in electro-mechanical systems.
- Work instructions may be complex but must be read, understood, and followed.
- Ability to communicate with customers' information technology team. Organizations.
- A good understanding of customer relations, both in writing and orally.
