India Operations
BURNDY Technology and Global Business Services Private Limited (HUBBELL INDIA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hubbell Inc. Hubbell India provides Engineering Services, Business Solutions, and IT Services. Hubbell Engineering located in Ascendas, ITPL,Chennai, is engaged in the business of computer-aided design and engineering services. The Hubbell Business Solutions functions at Infopark Kochi, and provide superior business intelligence, knowledge services, and business process solutions across Hubbell divisions and Corporate. IT Services team is spread across Chennai and Kochi. Hubbell Electrical Products LLP located in Chennai is poised to assist with part and product manufacturing for all Hubbell Business units
Position Overview
We are looking for a self-motivated Engineering Graduate with strong basics of Engineering, a target-oriented approach, good communication skills, and the urge for learning new products and processes, to determine Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Country Of Origin (COO) codes for Hubbell Products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities (but not limited to) are:
- Assigning HTS codes for a wide variety of Hubbell products. The process would broadly involve relevant data collection from various systems and sources, understanding the products and its application, and identifying the correct US HTS codes reference to custom rulings, as required.
- Analysis of Bill of Materials of products and Tariff shift identification of sub-components in BOM, application of rules of origin under CFR.
- Determine the country of origin (COO) for the products.
- Update various systems associated with HUBBELL Customs Compliance department.
- Meet individual and team’s monthly targets.
- Internal On-the Job training will be provided related to the process and relevant applications.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering General or Mechanical Engineering
Skills and Experience
Mandatory: Engineering Fundamentals and Broad understanding of Electrical products and components, Drawing reading and MS Office
Added advantage: SAP, PDM Application
Desirable: Understanding of HTS and COO determination process
Experience: 1 plus Years
