Description:
Microsoft 365 continues to experience incredible growth as the company focuses on its productivity cloud strategy and enabling secure remote work for its customers. As part of Microsoft Engineering, The Fast-track team has a primary role driving this strategy and is looking for individuals that share in the passion to drive business value and customer success using Microsoft 365 and related technologies. To successfully deliver this, Fast-track is constantly pursuing new ideas and approaches to engage with our customers to get them to work smarter, faster, and more securely every day. The Microsoft 365 Fast-track Secure Infrastructure team builds and manages the common infrastructure that is used across Fast-track in partnership with the teams that develop on and utilize the infrastructure. This team operates in a global model.
There is an exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to be part of this team. This role will require an individual with
- Deep technical knowledge in Azure IaaS and PaaS security and management.
- Solid understanding of Azure Networking, AAD, Authentication and Application design.
- Technical skills in using Azure DevOps for Building and Scaling Azure resources supported by solid PowerShell/Automation skills.
- Good understanding of cloud Databases and Application Security.
- Ability to design and review Threat Models for complex cloud-based solutions.
- Deep understanding of Windows OS (skills on Linux will be an added advantage).
- Good understanding of Application and Systems performance monitoring and alerting.
- Good understanding of systems/infrastructure troubleshooting & debugging.
- Good technical knowledge in securing solutions which include Office 365, Power BI and Microsoft Power platform.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Operate in a 24X7 team managing and executing the Azure infrastructure
- Design evolving common infrastructure architecture for our organization
- Support development teams
- Stay relevant with emerging Azure features including risk and security principles
- Stay relevant with emerging industry security standards, threats, and mitigation strategies
- Partner with engineering, program management and operations personnel within the Fast-track organization implementing secure infrastructure improvements to processes and technologies
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years’ experience in 24x7 operations of Azure based Enterprise data centers.
- At least 3 years’ experience in security monitoring and risk remediation (Blue Team Operations) of Azure based Enterprise data centers.
- Previous experience in securing and monitoring Azure hosted Applications and Database Solutions.
- Previous experience in Security monitoring and SIEM solutions.
- Previous experience in working with global teams.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- One or more Azure Solution Architect and/or Security Engineer certifications.
- Experience in securing and managing Azure Containers or Azure Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
