Job Description:
Russelectric, A Siemens Business, is a leading U.S. manufacturer of power control systems including paralleling switchgear and automatic transfer switches. As a growing business, we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. The field service engineer performs emergency repairs, warranty service; field service & engineering of electrical power distribution and control equipment.

If that's the case, we'd love to meet you! We're looking for a Field Service Engineer to work in the New York area, with some national travel possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- PLC (programmable logic controller) troubleshooting.
- 480VAC/12.47KVAC switchgear, ATS, circuit breakers, and generator system controls installation and troubleshooting
- Field startup technical support (standard and non-standard systems), warranty efforts, corrective repairs, and preventive maintenance contracts
- All safety rules, procedures, guidelines, and legislation are monitored and ensured compliance.
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- 3+ years of field service experience Engineers are in high demand.
- Electrical theory and technology education. Prior military service and/or experience performing relevant work duties.
- Power distribution, AC/DC, Voltage Circuit Theory, and practical troubleshooting abilities are all topics covered in this course.
- Diesel Controls and experience in power generation, including paralleled systems
- A strong foundation in electrical power, from low to medium voltage, is essential, as well as knowledge with most forms of switchgear testing.
- Programming experience with PLCs and HMIs.
- For power control, automation, and customer technical support, read schematics and blueprints.

- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and night work; this includes out-of-town / national work.
- Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
- Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
