- Provide routine UPS and battery repair to critical customers and significant clients in Bahrain and, on occasion, the ME&L area.
- Within two hours of receiving an emergency call, respond to it and offer remedial maintenance services on the spot.
- On a case-by-case basis, provide technical field support to Vertiv customers in other ME&L nations.
- Assist with emergency calls and urgent support as the local Vertiv escalation and focus point.
- To fix technical issues experienced by customers, provide field technical support with zeal and focus.
- Identify, report and escalate service quality concerns, risks, incompliances, training needs, improvements, etc.
- Liaise with technical support team in the region and in factories regarding technical, warranty and quality issues.
- Accurately and timely document & report on all performed service activities PMs & CMs.
- Manage and control spare parts inventory and replenishment.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Promote company products, services and spare parts in the form of retrofits, monitoring solutions, charged interventions.
- Become Certified trained engineer and remain up to date in related technologies and products.
- Manage training needs of customers and organize courses accordingly in accordance with Vertiv Academy curriculums and policies.
- Attend client meetings, workshops, technical meetings, and service review meetings.
- Follow the company's safety guidelines and regulations to the letter.
- Wear proper PPE in accordance with corporate requirements and job responsibilities.
- All work-related incidents or injuries should be reported to the appropriate staff within 24 hours.
- Individual inventories must be kept in accordance with corporate policy.
- If applicable, provide an estimated arrival time to the Customer Response Center.
- Provide customers with appropriate quotations for parts, labour, batteries, and other items as needed.
- Business property must be maintained in accordance with company policies.
- 5 or more years of experience as field technical engineer for uninterruptable power supplies.
- Proved experience in implementing/utilizing the basics of electrical engineering and power calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership in managing difficult situations and work under pressure.
- Ability to marshal resources to achieve desired results.
- English language - excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Arabic language – is desirable, but not must.
