About this role: Electrical Engineer

• Providing quality technical support through all stages of the project in the area of Electrical engineering expertise.
• Perform a thorough review of technical designs, documents, and bids in accordance with approved standards and to meet operational, maintenance, asset, and pipeline integrity requirements;
• Verification of Completeness of Scope Preparation Review and hands-on experience in HV/LV Substations, switchgears, Motors, CP system, Small power and lighting, earthing, VSDS, All other motors.
• Relays and batteries for protection;
• Coordinate and plan between the Asset Integrity, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure project requirements are met
• Identifies potential hazards during Engineering activities (as applicable) such as Document Review, Design Safety Review workshop, SAFOP, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, etc., participates in technical meetings, commissioning activities, SAT, Plant pre-start up safety audits, performance tests raises punch lists and provide support to operations and maintenance teams in various stages of project activities;
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project execution departments and Operations & Maintenance teams during projects’ FEED and EPIC stages to align Operations and Maintenance, Asset Integrity and HSE requirements;
• Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages until the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over;
• Support Lead engineer or supervisor in ensuring all environmental, process, and safety technical policies are fully integrated and implemented;
• Ensure SIMOPS, Various Project Interfaces are properly planned for Shutdown Activities;
• Support development of Qatari team.

What you need to bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferable;
• Minimum 15 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 10 years in Oil & Gas industry with an international reputable Operating company;
• Experience in operations and maintenance is mandatory;
• Skill / knowledge of International, Shell DEPs and/or COMPANY standards related to his area of expertise and Design Software related to Electrical Engineering such as ETAP, CYME Model, etc;
• Exposure with international consulting company, EPIC contractor with projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and Hand-over activities is an added advantage;
• Possess sound fundamentals in his discipline area. Shall possess very good technical skills in his discipline;
• Possess good communication, presentation skills and fluent in English language.
