About the role:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will help us achieve the following:
- Provides critical support and guidance to the Project Management team in order for them to complete multiple projects within Qatar Airways' established criteria, budgets, and timelines. Acts as a major member of the project team and participates in all areas of project management from the start of the project to the end of the defect liability period, including various stages of programme planning, project development, and information gathering and dissemination.
- Reviews, analyses, and describes a project approach depending on the project's size, complexity, timelines, and budget. Advise management on resource deployment for a successful project completion.
- Contributes to the project's building Technical Tender documents.
- Work in conjunction with project team; assist in implementation of programs and projects successfully.
- Typical duties include planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs and projects, coordinating project activities, collaborating with Project team members, developing measurable project goals and objectives and monitoring progress toward achievement.
- For projects in inception or concept stage; conducts site visit, meets various stakeholders to assess site conditions and advice management on Project feasibility.
- Collaborates with project team members during the project inception to develop project updates collateral. Reviews and recommends changes to work plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, progress reports and presentations.
- Review and Survey ongoing projects and recommend Project managers on induction of measures to improve current progress of works.
- Assisting in development of project budgets and assist preparation of contracts. Co-ordinate with Quantity survey section to manage budget for projects, or components of large programs under the general directions of the program manager.
- Prepares high-level project updates for Head of Department.
- Manages and Co-ordinates with various stakeholders and spearhead resolution of contractual or procedural conflicts in a project.
- Maintains status of Projects and update Capital Projects Management regularly.
- Qatar Airways Stakeholders for successful completion of projects. Accountable for communication with Project stakeholders.
- On assignment, shall be responsible to guide the project team at every stage of the project.
Qualifications
About you:
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in Architecture and Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Liaison with Government Authorities
- Certifications in CAD
- MS Office Suite, AUTO CAD
