Job summary
Amazon Middle East is seeking an experienced Business Analyst Marketing Specialist to play a key role in the PanMENA Exports and Global stores team based in Dubai. You will lead in the development of key business metrics and reporting, driving insights based on key metrics trends that the PanMENA team can leverage to drive customer focused actions. You will need to interface with a diverse set of stakeholders including - business, data engineering and product managers across various regions. You should demonstrate the ability to balance analytical and program management skills while driving communication and collaboration with other key partners.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and execute analytic projects in collaboration with business (including product management team), data engineering and business analysts
• Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key processes
• Define the business problem and solution approach autonomously with limited guidance
• Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights
• Analytical skills to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results
• Partner with data engineering teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights
• Proactively identify opportunity areas for deep dive investigations and future program development
• Write concise documents communicating results to stakeholders and visualize data to drive decision making
• Responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of various benchmarking initiatives highlighting customer pain points and ways to work with the right stakeholders to improve product features to drive improved customer experience for exports and Global store customers
• Creating metrics, reports and data visualization that influence the Exports and Global Store business segment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• 1+ year of experience in python or scripting languages, writing ETL jobs, or other automation scripts
• 2+ years of experience writing SQL scripts for analysis and reporting (Redshift, SQL, MySQL)
• 1+ year of experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (100K to Millions of rows) of data
• Demonstrable strong experience in business intelligence space
• Proven professional experience working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries to pull data
• Demonstrated ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner to the leadership
• Knowledge of Quicksight or other visualization tool
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced technical or business degree (MS, Masters in Business Analysis or related discipline)
• Previous work experience as a business analyst or business intelligence engineer
• Experience working with data engineering teams
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
