Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing onsite technical support throughout the Northern European region. As soon as the hospital purchases the ROSA*, you will perform quarterly maintenance, on-site repairs, and support initial installation. By providing direct and timely support, the Field Services Engineer helps minimize downtime. Our capital equipment is supported by onsite technicians. In addition to technical support, the Field Service Engineer provides on time accurate documentation of all service orders to our manufacturing sites and Quality Department

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support is provided through various communication channels (email, phone, app) for the first line of defense.
  • Performing on-call emergency repairs for ROSA© on site in the assigned territory
  • Investigating product complaints to identify root cause analysis following established processes
  • Completing administrative duties accurately and timely, including field service order documentation, field activity reports, return material authorizations reports in accordance with Zimmer Biomet processes
  • Managing quarterly scheduled preventive maintenance and upgrades for the regional install base
  • Supporting new installation of the ROSA© through EMEA
  • Developing rapport with hospital staff, including surgeons, robotics coordinator, and biomedical department
  • Operating within standard and site-specific Operating Room protocol
  • Partner with sales representatives to help prioritize calls, coordinate work, manage escalations, and close the loop with all parties impacted by an adverse service event
  • Managing costs (e.g. travel and expense, overtime, freight charges, etc.) to deliver a high level of service at reasonable cost to the company.
Expected areas of Competence:
  • Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Bio sciences or relevant experience with
  • medical devices
  • Supporting capital equipment in the research or clinical fields for at least two years
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in robotics or capital medical equipment
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer relation skills
  • Ability to work without specific direction on daily activities
  • Project management skills would be helpful
