Job Description Summary
Engineer who is responsible for implementing process changes and improvements while driving quality and safety improvements and reducing repair costs at the Repair Operation Center in Oak Creek, WI. Although the role has some autonomy, it is concerned with the execution of tasks within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Defining and controlling the production process, including equipment and tooling. Validating changes to equipment, tooling, and production processes. Managing all preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and support test equipment
- Develop sustainable solutions to field failures, identify root causes, and successfully implement improvements in operations to improve product quality.
- Manage all compliance activities for repair operations and drive any necessary corrective or preventive actions.
- Provide support for Environmental, Health, and Safety processes.
- Improving the efficiency of all operations with lean improvements and implementing standard work.
- Developing an in-depth understanding of a technical discipline. Executes policy/strategies based on prior experience/education.
- Displays some judgment and can suggest different solutions that are outside the parameters set, but with guidance. Performs straightforward tasks based on prior experience and on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Associates degree with at least 3 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or engineering.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess established project management skills.
- Understanding of the Quality Management System
- Lean Experience
