Analyzing simple to complex business operations and recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals are some of the responsibilities of the Business Analyst Continuous Improvement PMO. Provide key analytical support to achieve business goals and objectives by conducting trending and analysis. To do so, you will work closely with the CI PMO functional leaders and program teams to fulfill ad-hoc requests for data and perform detailed analysis of the PMO portfolio.
Principle Duties:
- Defining performance measures and collection methods with subject matter experts
- Analyze current as-is processes and conceptualize desired future processes by understanding business processes and interpreting them
- Prepare instructions for desktop procedures and Standard Operating Procedures for business users
- With minimal oversight, develop detailed user requirements and data visualization tools for the PMO
- Provide data visualization tools that include project data and metrics, including risks and issues for the CI PMO portfolio of programs and projects
- Analyze data and make conclusions based on the data in relation to business processes
- Analyze business processes, functions, and procedures in order to determine the most effective business systems software.
- Maintain minimal oversight of PMO activities and PMO team, including process analysis, system analysis, measuring success, and stakeholder and leadership reporting
- Support solution developers and business subject matter experts with documentation of functional and technical processes by using Visio; Develop detailed process maps and documentation of business process procedures
- Continually and actively support the efforts aimed at improving, simplifying, and enhancing the customer experience
- Communicate status of projects and programs to PMO teams and leadership
Must Have Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, computer science or related field
- A minimum of three to five years' experience is required
- Example metrics that have been developed or maintained (redacted to maintain confidentiality)
- Worked in matrix organizations and cross functional teams to create business dashboards
- Proficient in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite particularly PowerPoint, Access and Excel
- Understand and work with data visualization and reporting tools (i.e. Power BI, Excel w/ Pivot tables, Graphing data, etc)
- Knowledge of the Project Management Body Of Knowledge (PMBOK) and experience in project management
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communicator, and strong organizational skills
- Solving problems, making decisions, facilitating, and presenting
- Ability to work with high-level decision makers and technical teams
- Team player who drives for results and is part of the solution
- User requirements gathering experience for reporting and visualization tools
- Experience working in a fast and internal customer-facing role
- Self-driven with ability to work independently and as part of a team, as needed
- Expertise in analyzing unstructured and structured data sets and systemically organizing them into dashboards that management and teams can easily understand
- An understanding of regulations such as 21CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDR, and the experience of working in medical devices or other regulated industries (e.g. Pharma, Biotech)
- Has excellent time-management skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly desired:
- Manage complex systems for Class 2 medical devices
- Expert Quality Leader with problem-solving skills, capable of finding innovative ways to resolve issues. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other problem-solving methodologies
- Knowledgeable about 21CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and EUMDR
- Knows how to allocate resources according to budgets
- A desire to become a program/project manager
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
