About the role:
As part of the Technology team, you will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models and drawings for engineering projects including parts list creation and document management.
Specifically, you will:
- Make 3D CAD models and drawings of vibrating material feeding and screening equipment using Inventor and AutoCAD
- Contribute knowledge and experience to the design and improvement of products
- Analysis of design problems, development of solutions, and active decision-making
- Identify opportunities to simplify designs for efficient fabrication by understanding manufacturing processes
- Assist in ensuring that all design and drawing requirements are met by working collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders. Conducted design reviews and implemented appropriate actions.
- Work within the constraints of the project's deadlines and schedule
- Implement company and department policies and procedures, such as the Design Office Work Flow Procedure and the VIB Drawing Standard
To be successful in the above duties, you have:
- An associate's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent degree
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault
- Strong experience in steel fabrication and heavy industry equipment design, modeling, and drawing, preferably in a workshop environment
- An understanding of vibrating screening equipment design is advantageous
- Designing and producing drawings with high attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP
