Job Description:

An individual from an incredible gathering of solid master welders working in progress stations on the collecting of CAT's clearing equipment item presenting starting with one completion then onto the next. This position requires the ability to get done and pass an American Weld Society (AWS) accreditation. Our Welders will scrutinize creation layout/planning drawings to choose next course of work.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for putting safety first with a goal to prevent all injuries, occupational illnesses and safety incidents.
  • Weld components per American Welding Society (AWS) standards and engineering/manufacturing prints and documentation.
  • Decipher metric drawings that utilization Geometric dimensioning and resiliences (GD&T) to arrange installations, tack and weld parts in even and level positions utilizing welding firearm, cutting lights, carbon curve and other manufacture instruments (i.e processor, etch, tip cleaner).
  • Incorporates utilization of crushing, fire cutting hardware.
  • Prioritize work to meet production schedules.
  • Support the movement of materials for Fabrication and Paint areas.
  • Electronically and manually maintain documentation for labor hour records, process work order and production documentation.
  • May have responsibility for the operation of robots including robot area safety and robotic checks (torch, straightness, harness inspection, etc).
  • Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to fabrication, report discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • Work and interact effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Code of Conduct and Values in Action.
  • Work with limited supervision
  • May perform other tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Welding experience or in the process of completing /completed certified trade school/technical degree in welding
  • Ability to read fabrication blueprints/engineering drawings
  • Ability to complete and pass American Weld Society (AWS) certification
  • Top Candidates Will Also Have
  • Heavy crane equipment experience
  • Experience with basic fabrication hand tools and equipment (i.e. grinder, chisel, tip cleaner)
  • Experience with cutting torches and/or carbon arc (gouging)
  • Understanding of geometric dimension and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards
  • Ability to utilize computers for production transactions
  • Understanding of the metric measurement systems
