Job Description Summary
Providing service excellence is essential to driving customer satisfaction as a Biomed Technician at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL. You will evaluate, diagnose, and repair biomedical equipment and perform planned maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections of biomedical equipment to support the ability of our customers to deliver healthcare.
- Maintain company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation is kept for all work performed.
- To ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, maintain strong relationships and frequent communications with customers.
- Provide our customers with timely and accurate repairs and maintenance by maintaining our tools and testing equipment properly.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance issues directly to the Quality Organization so that services are provided according to the highest ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
- Experience with electronic digital circuitry as well as understanding of electronics and electro-mechanical devices.
- Understanding of schematic diagrams.
- Being able to work after hours and/or on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
- Ability to lift/move up to 35lbs.
- Ability to meet customer site access requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination.
