Project management is responsible for controlling the scope, schedule and budget of the activities within the Aircraft Design and Product Development team. Your daily tasks will include resolving problems, establishing scope, schedule, and budget for multiple projects, and executing the related deliverables. In addition, you will be coordinating activities between multiple technical functions, including Program and Suppliers. In your role, you will:
  • Maintain projects and activities related to major milestones for one or more existing or new platforms;
  • Manage cross-functional teams to establish project scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Coordinate Engineering Change planning, ensuring completeness and harmony with stakeholders;
  • Promote integrity and consistency in technical activities by ensuring adherence to Bombardier practices and Knowledge Standards
  • Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure adherence to the project scope, schedule, and budget;
  • Managing priorities between projects and activities, completing strategic schedule analyses, and communicating and harmonizing these priorities;
  • Identify and report risks, and lead risk mitigation planning;
  • Assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies with cross-functional stakeholders through participation and/or coordination in internal safety and security processes.
  • Prepare and provide visibility of budget requirements and resource allocation;
  • Prepare and present visibility reports at various levels of the organization;
  • Organize and coordinate cross-functional reviews by the Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT);
  • Coordinate and/or lead the development of A/C level or work package requirements and design solutions through the various stages of requirements definition and documentation. Ensure coherence with other functions.
  • Coordinate multi-site activities and remote participation as needed;
  • Plan the release of formal documents (Drawings, ModSums, Compliance Documents, Service Bulletins, etc. );
Qualifications:

As our ideal candidate,
  • You have an Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent working experience, with 3-5 years in project management or aerospace (recent graduates will be considered);
  • Program/Project Management processes and principles are familiar to you;
  • You possess sound aircraft manufacturing and/or technical experience;
  • An advantage would be previous experience in systems development, flight testing, or avionics.
  • You demonstrate superior communication skills and a professional attitude;
  • Your organizational and time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to objectives and responsibilities are excellent;
  • With your natural leadership qualities and pro-active attitude, you have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Motivated, autonomous, enthusiastic, and results-oriented;
  • You have a technical curiosity;
  • Throughout your career, you have demonstrated the ability to work independently and willingly in fast-paced environments;
  • The ability to solve problems effectively and make good decisions allows you to move projects forward to meet or exceed your targets;
  • You have good computer skills; you are proficient in MS Office and have experience with MS Excel and MS Project.
