BACKGROUND

An experienced Data Analyst is needed to join our Planning team on a full-time basis in Haverhill. The role will require you to work between the value stream and supply chain. Responsible for improving the end-to-end value stream, inventory health, and inventory quality, and identifying ways to increase material availability using the most efficient means. Similarly, if you have experience in material planning, procurement, production planning, inventory control, and supply chain processes, we'd like to hear from you.  In this role, I'm responsible for improving our planning operations and processes in order to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Someone with an analytical mind and strong business savvy, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, is essential. Your goal will be to ensure our planning department runs smoothly and is profitable at all times, while maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and shop floor supervisors. Based on the capacity volumes agreed to, the data analyst will participate in the weekly execution and completion of the production plan.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • By monitoring KPIs, oversee and challenge the production plan to completion.
  • Assist the Planning Manager in the S&OP process in the value stream, ensuring the correct balance between mid/long term capacity and customer demand.
  • Plan inventory within the value stream and optimize inventory levels.
  • Maintain master data accuracy within the value stream
  • Participate actively in the phase-in and phase-out of finished goods and components.
  • Ensure the successful completion of Supply Chain improvement projects.
  • Develop processes and methods for gathering value stream data.
  • Identify problematic areas and suggest improvements by analyzing data.
  • Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g., procurement optimization, production planning optimization, route planning).
  • Establish requirements and standards (e.g., packaging, procurement, delivery).
  • Implement effective and efficient systems in collaboration with IT professionals.
  • The management of the Production Planning function and continuous improvement of the area.
  • Analyze the weekly inventory.
  • Maintain key Materials Requirements Planning data, including but not limited to re-order points, lead times, minimum order quantities, and minimum batch sizes
  • Participate in the weekly Production Scheduling meetings as needed
  • Promote the achievement of the Planning Department's daily objectives, including meeting customer requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to production planning processes, such as:
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping on ERP system, such as closing out completed works orders and rescheduling works orders in the past
WHO YOU ARE
  • Strong people skills. (Essential)
  • Experience as a Data Analyst, production planner, material planner, or a similar role. (Desirable)
  • Data mining, analysis, and reporting experience. (Essential)
  • Experience with supply chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management). (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. (Essential)
  • Working knowledge of the D365 ERP system. (Desirable)
  • Business savvy with an analytical mind. (Essential)
  • Problem-solving aptitude. (Essential)
  • Attention to detail. (Essential)
  • Excellent communication skills. (Desirable)

  • B.S./B.A. in Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field; or proven experience in production planning, supply chain management, business administration, or economics. (Desirable)
