- Design, develop, and test biomedical devices and technologies to support research
- Conduct research protocols to support research objectives, including physiological monitoring and psychophysical testing
- Collaboration with principal investigators (PIs) to analyze data towards project objectives and incorporate these analyses into reports and presentations
- Prepare technical reports
- Interact with outside customers and researchers; provide sponsors with technical details of project results
- Testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating biomedical equipment
- Document all work in laboratory notebooks, technical reports, posters, and documentation folders
- Prepare engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
- Interactions with other engineering and research disciplines as well as other departments
- Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower-level engineers
- Advisory services may be provided to senior management on engineering-related matters
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 8+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree in Engineering (or related field) and 4+ years of related work experience
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Environmental research experience
- Inhalation lab experience
- Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
