- Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Global Transaction Services line of business offers strategies and solutions that are closely aligned with the treasury goals of global corporate, commercial, and public sector entities. We are the world's leading issuer of purchase cards and virtual payables programs, and the number two issuer of corporate travel cards, providing our services and capabilities in more than 100 languages to companies with operations around the world.
- We are looking for a B2B Payables Sales Specialist to join our team. A payables-oriented sales specialist will provide subject matter expertise, deep industry knowledge, competitive positioning, pricing and awareness across the Global Transaction Services client base.
- A GTS B2B Payment Product Sales Specialist is expected to have experience working within a highly matrixed organization, providing support to multiple key stakeholders, and managing multiple contacts within our client's organization, including procurement, travel management, shared service centers, and accounts payable. Client management, fulfillment, contract management, product management, and senior management will be among the internal contacts. The ideal candidate will think creatively, act globally, drive inclusion across teams, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
- This position will provide proactive lead generation, business development engagements via industry conferences and client calls, as well as lead formal client engagements to include sourcing, RFP responses, pricing strategy, formal pitches, and software demonstrations during formal presentations of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch product line. Our candidate will be familiar with our payables offering across our Global Transaction Services platform, including Corporate Travel and Purchasing Cards, Virtual Payables and Travel Cards, Comprehensive Payables and other B2B payables products.
- Lead generation, development, and nurturing of client relationships as part of own sales efforts
- Education to maintain status as a best-in-class subject matter expert, with a deep understanding of product functionality, value proposition, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Developing RFI/RFP responses and delivering best and final presentations to clients and their leadership teams
- Driving formalized routines with all regions and key business partners, including Product Management, Treasury Sales, Relationship Management, Implementations, Customer Service, Account Management, and Product Sales, and executive management
- Briefing senior leaders on sales efforts, deal overview, and winning strategy
- Being the voice of our customers to drive innovation and enhancements to our products on a regular and formal basis
- Access to senior-level contacts within prospects/clients by partnering with the broader bank organization
- Conducting and leading client presentations in person, over the phone and via WebEx to all levels of client organizations, including treasury, finance, purchasing, and travel management teams
- Demonstrating platform/technology and communicating features and benefits to clients
- Dealing with pricing and contract negotiations with clients
- Training Treasury Sales and Relationship Management Teams, as well as other business partners on products, services, and value proposition
- Represent organization at internal and external client conferences and trade shows, and generate new leads for Card and Comprehensive Payables business
