YOUR CHALLENGES?

In this role you will contribute to the verification and validation of new sensor systems, that can collect multiple physiological signals, and algorithms that extract health parameters from the sensor data, that allow physicians to get more accurate information on the health of the patients. Your activities will be:

• Set up and perform small data collection studies to validate sensors and algorithms using the new sensor systems in conjunction with reference equipment;
• Comparing the system and algorithms with the reference equipment with the data from these studies in order to verify whether the sensor systems and algorithms are working correctly;
• Studying healthy volunteers on a larger scale
• Supporting the debugging and improvement of sensor systems and algorithms.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• MSc degree in biomedical engineering or similar field;
• Knowledge of human physiology, both theoretically and practically;
• Experience designing experiments and analyzing large data sets;
• Experience collecting data on human subjects;
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Phyton, C (plus)
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and spoken) in English
• An active member of the team who is flexible and helpful. You see changes as opportunities to learn and grow;
• Learner who is willing and able to acquire new skills;
• Hands-on approach. Taking responsibility for the entire process of data collection to algorithm development, including communication and alignment with the various stakeholders.
