Job Description Summary:
As the Biomed Technician, you will respond to service calls within a hospital or healthcare system. You will evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance on biomedical equipment, providing service excellence to drive customer satisfaction. Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Provide our customers with biomedical equipment support, including a repair process, safety/environmental inspections, and planned maintenance.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure that regulatory and compliance requirements are met. Document all work performed.
- To ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, maintain strong relationships with customers and frequent communication with them.
- Ensure that tools and test equipment are kept in proper working order so that we can provide timely and accurate repairs and maintenance to our customers.
- To ensure services are provided in accordance with the highest ethical standards, ensure you report any customer quality concerns or compliance issues to the Quality Organization immediately.
- An ability to work on a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School;
- Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic circuits as well as electro-mechanical devices.
- Experience interpreting schematic diagrams.
- Working a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, and being available after hours.
- Capable of lifting/moving 35 pounds.
