Information Technology - Data Sciences & Analytics Engineer (Analytics Engineering Track).

Job Description:

We have multiple junior and senior data engineering positions available. The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable data pipelines, data marts and business intelligence dashboards to be used across Singapore Airlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand Singapore Airlines' business processes, applications, and how data is created, stored, and collected.
• Create and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable data pipelines using big data tools and platforms. Troubleshoot and rectify data pipeline issues as necessary.
• Build expertise and domain knowledge about the data. Establish and own the data quality and service level agreements for various data flows.
• Provide business insights to stakeholders by exploring, analyzing, and aggregating various types of data. Tell a story and create a visual representation of these insights. Deliver analytics solutions to the business by asking the right and inquisitive questions about the data.
• Build and manage data marts to meet our growing data needs.
• As well as any other ad-hoc duties.
• This is an individual contributor role.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. MS or PhD degree is a plus.
• A production environment with Python development experience is required.
• Experience with SQL (such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, AWS Redshift, or Hive) is required. Experience with NoSQL is a plus.
• More than 2 years of experience working with Linux OS. Knowledge of networks and cyber security is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code systems such as AWS Cloud Formation. AWS and DevOps experience are pluses.
• Working with commercial ETL tools such as Abs Initio would be a plus.
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of ETL pipelines.
• Experience working with visualization tools (specifically Tableau is preferred).
• Ability to analyze data to identify gaps and inconsistencies.
• Ability to manage and communicate data mart plans to internal customers.
