We are looking for an enthusiastic person with strong analytical skills to join our team. The position entails research and development of continuous glucose monitors. Through the use of advanced signal processing techniques, statistically-driven analytics, data processing, machine learning, mathematical modeling and experimentation, the individual will work with members of research staff to improve the performance of continuous glucose sensors. The position involves all aspects of the research process, including data collection, data processing and clean-up, analysis, theory development and validation. Further, the candidate will be required to document such systems for international and domestic regulatory submissions. Ideal candidates will have experience in biomedical device data analytics. A Day in the Life:
  • Participate in glucose sensing technology research and development, technology transfer from research to development, algorithm development, simulation, and modeling.
  • Ensure data quality for downstream analytics and algorithm development.
  • To test concepts, apply principles of signal processing, machine learning, analytics, and modeling to construct algorithms in MATLAB or another software package.
  • To generate verifiable conclusions, analyze and quantify large amounts of data.
  • Identify problem areas and work with the team to gather experimental data to address them.
  • Support complex projects to meet schedule and technology objectives.
  • Contribute to defining product requirements and features for department functional groups.
  • Meet all regulatory requirements, both external and internal.
  • Produce detailed scientific and technical reports.
  • Design clinical studies and product development decisions based on data analysis results.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering (signal processing/analytics focus), Mathematics, Physics or related discipline 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering (signal processing/analytics focus), Mathematics, Physics or related discipline,
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics methods, modeling, advanced signal processing, and/or machine learning methods
  • Data processing, statistical analysis, and/or signal processing experience
  • Expertise in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and/or other signal processing environments
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas
  • Demonstrated experience managing/supporting multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Producing and presenting engineering/technical presentations
  • Produced written documentation such as specifications, engineering reports, test plans, test procedures, validation plans, and validation reports
  • Multi-tasking skills and excellent organization skills
  • Experience with and knowledge of machine learning
  • Experience working with biological signals; preferably in medical devices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical techniques and methods
  • Experience with Big Data and the Cloud
