Job Description Summary:
As the Biomed Technician, you will respond to service calls within a hospital or healthcare system in St. Louis, MO. You will evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance on biomedical equipment, providing service excellence to drive customer satisfaction. Job Description
Responsibilities:
- To support our customers' ability to provide healthcare, we evaluate customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections.
- Compliance with company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured.
- Keep in regular contact with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up, and to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
- To ensure accurate calibration of tools and test equipment, and to provide timely and accurate repairs/maintenance to customers.
- Report all customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization immediately to ensure services are provided according to the highest ethical standards.
Education/Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
Qualifications:
- Circuitry knowledge and understanding of electronic and electromechanical devices.
- Having experience interpreting schematics.
- Ability to work rotating on-call schedules, including weekends, after hours and anytime.
- Capable of lifting/moving 35 pounds.
