About the role:
- We are currently seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineer to join our team based in Erskine Park and working in a Field Based role within our Technical Services Department.
- The Biomedical Engineer's primary responsibility is to support and grow the Fresenius Kabi Medical Device business by developing relationships with customers and providing superior customer service. Infusion, Transfusion, and Auto-transfusion Medical Devices will be maintained within both public and private healthcare facilities across Australia.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Technical Services: The role will involve installation, diagnosis, repair and calibration of equipment in the workshop and on-site in healthcare facilities around Australia. You will also have the opportunity to plan and support installation, as well as work on multiple projects with the Technical Services project lead and Account Managers. This role also offers you the opportunity to develop your engineering skills to effectively troubleshoot defective equipment.
Customer Service and Support: You will also work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to provide exceptional service to our customers in relation to technical components, fault-finding procedures and spare part management.
Administration: A key component of the role, will be keeping accurate documentation, to ensure compliance with standard processes and formats. As a result, service reports will be completed, customer queries will be addressed in a timely manner, and technical service bulletins will be kept updated.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Advanced Certificate (minimum) in Electronics or related field
- Experience as a technical customer support representative or field service engineer with strong communication skills
- A current Australian driver's license and the ability to travel interstate and work outside of standard office hours
- Knowledge of information technology and networking is desirable
- A proactive, responsible, and cooperative team player with excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
NB: The Biomedical Engineer position requires you to work in public and private hospitals. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and provide evidence of required vaccinations.
