Job Description:
Intra-operative imaging is an exciting field at the intersection of engineering, optics, and medicine. Real-time, image-based diagnosis at the bedside, in the operating room has the potential to greatly enhance patient outcomes. The Post Doctoral Fellow will work with the PI, Dr. Liang Kaicheng to:
- Design and build optical/laser instruments for translational research, focusing on fiber optic imaging systems and endoscopic microscopy
- Developing software for system control and data acquisition
- Maintain technical documentation
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities for research
Requirements:
- PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related
- First-authored publications with a strong publication record
- Expertise in optical/laser imaging systems and instrumentation including hardware control with Lab VIEW or other languages (5+ years).
- Experience in biomedical research is preferred but not required
- Experience with fiber optics is preferred, but not required
