SENIOR MOTOR SERVICE ENGINEER - UAE
Siemens Large Drives Applications (LDA) develops and produces medium and high voltage electrical drive systems such as motors, converters and generators. Additionally, we offer large drives for ships, mines, and rolling mills. Through our digitalization expertise and exceptional service, we keep the performance and availability of your drives at their maximum.

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be performing activities related to SIEMENS HV motors on different sectors and applications, thus, it is a challenging, exciting, and ever-evolving position. The following are some of the most relevant responsibilities:
- Perform activities on-site (at the facilities of the customer), such as commissioning, maintenance (preventative, corrective, and/or predictive), troubleshooting, retrofitting, system upgrades, and other product-related activities.
- · Provide ongoing technical support to customers, as well as internal clients such as Customer Care Centers, sales representatives, and project managers.
- Deliver detailed and professional reports for each service attended, and submit them on time along with all related information.
- · Follow SIEMENS' standards, mainly precautions and responsibilities related to environmental health and safety.
- · Follow SIEMENS' confidentiality guidelines.
- In view of the nature of the position, you may be required to travel (nationally and internationally).
- Person who is customer oriented and able to differentiate SIEMENS services.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering with 6+ years of experience is required.
- Experience with HV motors in the following sectors: cement, mining, steel, oil & gas, water utilities, etc. The following are specific skills:
- A general understanding of mechanical activities such as assembly and disassembly of machinery, crane control, proper handling of heavy parts, and organizational skills.
- Experience installing, aligning, and coupling rotating equipment.
- Experience handling and assessing roller and sleeve bearings.
- Experience in vibration measurement and analysis. Electrical components and instruments experience.
- Having general knowledge of motor windings and the ability to assess damages.
- Understanding the differences between synchronous motors (Slip ring and brushless rotor).
- General experience with MV systems such as distribution transformers, MV switchgears, and MV drives.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as excellent attitude towards working on a team.
- Fluent in English.
