Job Description:
Future Business Development Lead is proactive, can work independently, and is an effective networker who can gain the respect and acceptance of the Business Unit Managers through clear and open communication and a focus on adding clear business value.
You will gather market data, identify new opportunities, or take on new internal initiatives that add value to the company / business unit. As this is primarily a Business Development / Sales role, our ideal candidate will have a sales-oriented mentality and outlook.
A solid understanding of the Bahrain market is essential, so we are looking for candidates who are Bahrainians or Bahraini residents.

International, challenging, and future-oriented
- Identify short- and medium-term sales opportunities in Bahrain. Ensure that all opportunities are passed on to the correct Siemens internal Business Unit and entered into Siemens' sales tool
- As requested / directed by the BU sales team, present Siemens products and solutions to Bahrain customers (end customer, EPC, consulting firms).
- Handle all incoming issues for Siemens Industrial Bahrain that cannot be handled by the local accounts support.
- Answer all incoming customer questions, whether they are mobile, fixed, faxed, or emailed. Ensure that the enquiry is forwarded to the correct BU and is handled appropriately by the BU.
- As requested / directed by BU sales, investigate applications or potential projects.
- Identify market applications or opportunities Siemens has not yet explored.
- Make recommendations for future strategic development.
Furthermore, You will ..
- Support in the implementation of business strategies, guidelines, and principles.
- Conduct strategic analysis in a broad range of topics (i.e. market and competitors' analyses, benchmarking, analysis of strategic action fields) as and when requested by the Business Units.
- Advising the CEO and CFO on strategic development, company direction, and company requirements.
- By attending / organizing regular meetings, facilitation of information exchange, development of common tools and methods, and use of external data sources like MEED and BMI, coordinate with the Business Development community in lead country UAE and Kuwait.
- Together with the assigned countries, functions, and divisions, develop and implement a concept for Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid!
- Experience in either Siemens (min 3 years) or Bahrain (min 2 years) is required.
- Clear sales background / experience required.
- Technology or Engineering background (education or business experience) is essential.
- Excellent communication / reporting abilities.
- Proactive, motivated, and enthusiastic.
- Extensive experience in a multi-cultural environment, especially overseas.
- IT skills are required, as is experience with Microsoft packages.
- Fluent in English. Fluent in Arabic preferred.
