Job Description:

Responsibilities of an Integration Support Engineer
  • Manage complex enterprise systems, and provide high-quality tools that enable our customers' businesses.
  • The majority of my code is written in PHP/Hack and JavaScript/React, but I also have experience with SOAP and REST-API technologies and architectures.
  • Learn how to deploy and troubleshoot WhatsApp APIs.
  • Partner with WhatsApp Enterprise Operations to influence the direction of new initiatives, features, and/or support responsibilities, in addition to influencing and defining goals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to build consensus on strategic initiatives and lead strategic problem solving on behalf of the team.
  • You will serve as a mentor and leader within our team, suggesting and thriving improvements in training, onboarding, and support operations, helping to grow the team.
  • Design long-term roadmaps and plans that support the core vision of the WhatsApp Enterprise Operations team.
  • Serve as a technical communication channel between outside developers and our product teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally 30% of the time (current conditions permitting).
  • Leading strategy for team(s) and demonstrating breakthrough thinking. Syncs team strategies and goals with company strategies and goals.
  • Leading an organization and shaping its strategy, promoting ideas and building a high performing team.
  • Solves complex problems holistically, not just within the immediate scope of significant business impacts.
  • Identify interdependencies among teams and take proactive steps to clarify roles or potential issues so that all are solving problems consistently.
  • Provides clear quarterly and annual goals that enable teams to better drive impact.
  • Sets hiring goals and develops hiring practices including: skill set evaluation standards, skill sets to be vetted in interviews, interview panels, and has final say on hiring decisions as well as setting salary and level for each hire.
  • Consultation, mentoring, and thought leadership in areas of expertise sought.
  • Drives team missions and solutions aimed at increasing proactivity and efficiency in the Customer Operations organization.
  • Creates, leads, and completes several complex to highly complex projects, including mentoring others on the team.
  • Sharing findings and learnings across the company and organization (including central and regional teams).
  • Owns activities/ projects from beginning to end, enabling all parties to move forward, helping the wider group avoid potential stumbling blocks.
  • Effectively communicates strategy and higher-level concepts to the team, cross-functional organizations, and senior executives.
  • Regularly articulates business problems in an effective manner, explaining the rationale for decisions and future business recommendations to different audiences and teams.
  • Represents company leadership internally to all of Facebook and to WhatsApp.
  • Addresses and resolves conflicts in a way that strengthens relationships.
  • Creates a team environment where team members are highly engaged, clear about what is expected of them, and feel supported.
  • Promotes team culture through actions and communications. Fostering trust and respect in particular.
  • Communicates directly and persuasively with partners and teammates to represent team in XFN conversations.
Qualifications Minimum
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or international equivalent.
  • Programming experience of 8+ years.
  • Experience communicating with people at all levels (internal and external).
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Working in a global multicultural and multilingual team, solving problems and designing business operations from scratch.
  • Communication experience with cross-functional partners (both technical and non-technical audiences).
Qualifications preferred
  • Working autonomously and prioritizing work with minimal input
  • Capacity to collaborate and communicate within a global team and with external partner
  • An understanding of large scale customer service or success organizations and experience managing key customer relationships.
  • Experienced in driving solutions for global business use cases
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Process change management or process improvement experience
  • Experience working in a technology company, consulting firm, or similar fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the full web stack, REST API development, and bug management support.
  • An Integration Support Engineer is responsible for managing accounts and clients whose business language is Bahasa Indonesia/Malay/Cantonese or Hindi/Bengali. You need to know Bahasa Indonesia/Malay/Cantonese or Hindi/Bengali.
