Key Responsibilities:
The program offers participants the opportunity to work in a variety of Business Units and functions and make a significant impact through challenging projects. Engineering positions are available in R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and more. We will identify specific internship projects based on the candidate's strengths, interests, and business needs.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Pursuing Junior or Senior Preferred and pursuing degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering etc Preferred and Course competition in engineering mechanics and mechanical design is preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment. Motivated and hands-on. Follow procedures, perform tests, and clearly communicate data results.
- Strong interest in gaining relevant industry experience. Medical devices and healthcare experience are pluses.
- Pay attention to details.
- Possess strong drafting skills (Solid works and Creo Parametric are preferred).
- Strong academic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
- Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, with a few exceptions.
- Design conceptualizes, develops, and iterates designs based on design requirements.
- Utilizing test results to brainstorm novel ideas for device improvements, test new designs (functional, mechanical, and simulated use).
- Assist production departments with documentation and troubleshooting of technical issues.
- Tests and designs are documented and a written report is generated.
- Ensure that teammates receive relevant feedback during design reviews.
