We are looking for an Operating Room Medical Engineer for DEO NV, a Belgian health tech company that enables hospitals to treat more patients at a lower cost and with optimal quality of care.
Description:
The OR Medical Engineer will contribute to OR efficiency projects for hospital customers in Europe and North America. The students will spend a significant amount of time in the operating room and hospital, collecting efficiency and ergonomic data, analyzing this data, and proposing improvement roadmaps. DEO is a rapidly growing and evolving company, so the OR Medical Engineer will also work with the other members of the team to improve our products, services, and processes.
Profile:
- Bachelor or master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience; preferably technical or (para)-medical
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience
- Excellent command of English. The ability to speak other languages, especially German or French, is an advantage
- Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 25% - 50%
- On certain days, you may spend up to 8 hours in the OR
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- An eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
- With an entrepreneurial attitude, a team player
- Paying attention to details and providing excellent customer service
- Communication and writing skills are essential
- If you have experience with process improvement, account management and/or the medical market, you will be a great candidate.
