- Process Units: Gasification, Hydrogen Recovery, Sulfur Removal, Soot & Ash Recovery, Sulfur Recovery, Closed Cooling Water Systems, Fuel Gas Systems, Waste Water Treatment, Chilled Water, and Flare System.
- Power Block: Gas Turbines, HRSG, and Steam Turbines.
- Utilities: Desalination, Water Treatment, Sea Water Cooling, Steam/BFW/Condensate, and Sea Water Intake
- Oversee all troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, repair, and test activities related to mechanical equipment and pressure systems; provide engineering evaluations & determinations, and provide technical direction & guidance.
- Assist in the construction & commissioning of the plants by providing engineering guidance. Verify performance parameters and commissioning activities of the plant's mechanical equipment and pressure systems. Quality assurance procedures should consist of equipment assembly and alignment, cleaning, integrity, etc.
- Contribute to the development and preservation of equipment standards, procedures, best practices, inspection contracts, and contractor selection guidelines.
- Developing engineering specifications, evaluating quotes, evaluating vendor bids, and reviewing vendor documents.
- Be sure security and safety instruments are implemented and revalidated according to all Critical Safety Circuit (CSS), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) policies.
- The responsibility of developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive risk-based inspection and calibration program for all mechanical equipment and pressure systems.
- Maintain statutory, regulatory, technology standard, and code information that is consistent with operational objectives and local regulations of JIGPC plants.
- For the execution of all projects and turnaround activities, provide engineering support (including scope, budget, schedule, execution strategies, risk plans, cost collection / reporting, etc.).
- Prepare annual budgets for maintenance, repairs, and major turn-around activities associated with mechanical equipment and pressure systems.
- Create a team atmosphere by leading by example, encouraging communication, listening well, and resolving problems quickly.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance, reliability, and quality cost targets.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers of pressure system equipment in the region
- Ensure a positive working relationship with customers, both internal and external.
- Participate in professional association meetings to determine best practices being used in the industry and apply them to our pressure systems.
- Engineering graduate (BSME preferred) with 10-15 years of relevant experience in chemical / refinery / gas plant maintenance / inspection / engineering.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to the Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC / IEC, NFPA, ASME, etc.) and, preferably, also Saudi Aramco standards and work practices.
- Expertise and experience in statistical maintenance, mechanical engineering, fault finding, and maintenance and repair of pressure systems.
- Maintenance/technical leadership and guiding experience is needed.
