Description:
- ZOLL Medical Corporation is committed to developing technologies that improve the practice of resuscitation. Defibrillation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and ventilation are some of ZOLL's products for providing resuscitation to sudden cardiac arrest or trauma patients. As well as software for clinical and non-clinical data management, ZOLL designs and markets software to facilitate the documentation of this information.
- During your time at ZOLL, you'll be part of a team of engineers with deep industry experience in computer science, medical science, communications technologies, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. You will also gain knowledge about how medical devices work while helping develop new ones.
- The Advanced Development team is seeking motivated, academically strong students to develop resuscitation technologies and solutions. Our team environment offers the challenge of achieving your full potential while using your energy and expertise.
Note:
This position is a 4+ month role starting in August. You must be enrolled in a College Degree program in order to be considered.
Essential Functions:
Participate in the development of technology and algorithms as part of our innovation process.
Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of laboratory measurement equipment
- Ability to develop mechanical, software/algorithm, and electrical designs for engineers
- A prowess for prototypes based upon concept sketches
- Organizing and executing test plans that include data collection for checking designs with attention to detail
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- As a junior or senior, pursuing a BS or MS in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar program.
- Having experience prototyping designs, assembling parts, and testing is beneficial.
