The Digital Engineering & Design department, which comprises Solar PV Power Plants, hybrid PV applications and services, is looking for a Digital Head.

We provide services in solar power integration and digitalization, as part of Siemens Energy Generation Division. We rely on PV technology from our partner eco-system to unlock the decarburization potential of our customers. In our role as a Solar PV start-up within the company, we are responsible for Strategy, Go-To-Market (Sales and Business Development), Partnering, Engineering, Bid management, Project execution, and Lifecycle Management (including O&M) in Utility-scale Solar PV.

As a Digital Digital Leader in the Solar PV business domain, the successful candidate will manage the global digital teams and activities.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop the digital end to end business for PV plant solutions (design to life cycle management) within the Solar PV domain; responsible for digital business activities within the Solar PV domain (digital tools, data analysis, cloud solutions, etc.).
• As part of Siemens Energy Solar PV design and engineering strategy, develop and implement digital solutions and business models that take into account lifecycle performance differentiators, technical value proposition, and competitive advantages. Develop resources and engage partners to meet the vision (internally and externally)
• To ensure internal design / execution optimization and asset life cycle efficiency, identify and obtain required digital technologies / tools for the Solar PV domain (from design to life cycle), software, hardware, etc.
• Represent SE at institutions that support solar PV, renewable energy, and decarburization technologies to obtain the latest technologies / market standards
• Participation in proposal meetings, Defining scope, calculating costs, considering clarifications and deviations from customer specifications, Checking project execution schedule and defining risks with adequate mitigations.
• Make sure that the Digital team provides timely and high-quality input to the rest of the organization.
• Implementing and developing the assigned team/s and aligning with other resources pools so to obtain remaining staff internally and externally in different regions/locations.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Experience running a digital enterprise (focusing on solar power or other renewable energy) with proven abilities to develop new business models and technology as a differentiator at the global level
• Personal and business expenses. The candidate must have experience in developing digital solutions in two of the following four areas: Digital tools & applications, Data Analysis Architect, Cloud Solution architect, and Asset performance digital solutions. A business model development capability is also required
• Understanding of Overall Solar PV Digital solutions, Proposal Costing and Review, Contract Management and Project Execution Process, IP & Pattern Filing, Scheduling / Time Management.
• Solar PV technologies, along with knowledge of other renewable energy based technologies, as well as experience using Digital Tools including coding, data analytics, and cloud applications; and knowledge of compliance regulations. Methods for Effective Presentations, Negotiations, and Moderations
• The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally in English is essential for successful interaction within Siemens.
