About the Company:

Using our proprietary 3D method for mechanical property mapping, we are able to assess the mechanical properties of material or tissue under compression, tension, shear, friction, torsion, and bending conditions.

The student must conduct a thorough literature review, determine the optimal testing parameters, and prepare a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with step-by-step instructions for executing mechanical testing. The student will undergo a 16-week internship in which he or she will develop and validate mechanical testing methods for assessing biomaterials and tissues. It is essential that the student conducts a comprehensive literature review, determines the optimal testing parameters, and documents Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with detailed instructions on how to conduct the mechanical testing.

Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, you must have completed at least two years of engineering coursework (biomedical, bioengineering, physical, or mechanical). ISO13485 (medical devices) and GLP/GMP regulations are advantageous. Organization and attention to detail are essential for a successful candidate. Multiple task management and prioritization skills, as well as an ability to work with minimal supervision in team environments, are imperative qualities in a project manager. Communication skills in English (written) and French (spoken) are vital.
