We are expanding our Queensland operation, and this position's main focus is driving the development of the Highways and Rail business along with enhancing PUP skills throughout the organization.

About the role:
  • Managed a number of large transport infrastructure projects.
  • Contributing to the design of roads, PUP, pavements, stormwater drainage, and water-sensitive roads.
  •  Ensuring that long-term business plans are developed and implemented according to the business strategy. In addition, it includes how a business is positioned in the local marketplace.
  •  Procure work and negotiate large contracts as part of the business development process. The work may include working with companies such as TMR, local governments, and construction contractors.
  •  Supervising, mentoring, training and developing a growing team
  • In Arup, we strive to improve services for our clients by finding better ways and delivering better solutions.
About you:
  • Qualified to practice in Australia under IEAust or IE Australia's equivalent.
  • Communicating effectively and interacting with others.
  •  A keen understanding of the needs of customers and the ability to find effective solutions.
  •  Great knowledge and experience in highway and rail engineering consultancy and design, as well as occupational health and safety.
  • An understanding of how designs can be constructed.
  • Expertise in Queensland's marketplace, including key issues and long-term client relationships.
  • Managed multi-disciplinary teams of multi-disciplinary project teams for many years.
  • Several years of consulting engineering experience, including ability to recommend energy-efficient, sustainable solutions for clients.
  • Managed and mentored engineering teams for many years.
