We are a UAE-based refiner with a global presence. Every year, we provide over 40 million tonnes of high-quality refined goods to markets all over the world. We have been in Abu Dhabi for almost 40 years, playing an important role in supporting both the ADNOC Group and the UAE. Our facilities can collectively refine approximately a million barrels of crude oil and condensates per day.We own and run the world's fourth-largest single-site refinery in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra district. Job Purpose
Plans, coordinates and supports all technical and operational aspects of daily drilling related activities, including program preparation in accordance with local authority regulations, company policies and HSEQ standards, AFE preparation. Daily cost stewardship and ensuring that all Drilling Programs are executed as planned.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
- Evaluates and implements all new drilling techniques and methodologies.
- Supports field based Company personnel and managing contractors and services in the executing of all operations on the assigned rig.
- Ascertains capability of rigs and equipment for exploration and appraisal drilling, Recommends for upgrading if required.
- Determines technical parameters of Rig Contractors and 3rd service providers are in accordance with the Contract. Participates in Quality and pre-acceptance related audits and inspections as required.
- Ensures risk management processes are used in the well planning and execution.
- Participates in feasibility studies relating to exploration and appraisal wells. Identifies new technology opportunities with the potential to improve performance in the Company’s operations.
- Reviews and approve well proposals and well programs with a view to obtain optimum value.

- Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

- Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
- Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.
- Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 6 years of experience in Well Engineer plus 2 years of which should be in field operations.
