Essential Experience
- Identified resources must have a minimum qualifications of a bachelor's degree in the area of the fields of computer science or engineering, preferably in the Operations Technology
- Total Operational Technologies (OT) experience between extensive years with good plus years in technology leadership roles and Architecture to deliver organizational 'best fit' roadmaps and strategies, Business architecture, Technical architecture and Physical architecture
- Experience in architecture and design of plant information network, Control network, control systems, PLC's, SCADA, plant instrumentation, Field control network like ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Fieldbus, Hart, Fault Tolerant Ethernet and EthernetIP
- Good understanding of architectural aspects like Integration Architecture, Security Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Communication Architecture etc
- Experience working with different architectural domains including Business, Information, Application and Technology along with all sub-components / building blocks of the architectural domains
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture context elements including Organization Vision, Mission, Goals, Objectives and Business imperatives
- Drive innovations based on latest / upcoming technology trends in OT, IT-OT integration and IIoT
- Excellent interpersonal skills and working experience managing key stakeholder expectations including CxOs. Experience in spearheading business and / or IT initiatives and providing enterprise architecture leadership bandwidth
- Experience of operating at all levels in the ISA99/IEC62443 Industrial Control System Model (ICS) for the UK water industry Level 0 - sensors, instrumentation, plant I/O, IP enabled devices, safety & protection systems
- Level 1 - telemetry outstations (RTU), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) inc programming
- Level 2 - local site SACDA systems / Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
- Level 3 - Operations DMZ (inc Firewall Management), telemetry master systems (Schneider ClearSCADA) configuration, mimics, system management, sequence control programming.
- Operational historian systems
- Level 4/5 - enterprise connectivity to OT level 3. Business intelligence systems, sharing data across enterprise systems, predictive analytics
- Health and Safety management (with experience of Water and Waste Water systems)
- Proven experience with SCADA implementations - at least one project
- Outstation/ PLC installation/ commissioning on operational sites - at least one project
- Working in a multivendor/ partner environment - at least 2 projects
- Experience/ Awareness in the following functional areas, but not limited to Communication systems (radio, PSTN, mobile, satellite, fixed wire, microwave) for OT systems
- Plant automation and control
- Work and Asset Management Analytics
- OT Integration with Corporate Systems
- Water sector experience preferred or similar (Petrochem / Pharmaceutical / Food / Aerospace / Power, Highways)
- Proven experience of preparing feasibility studies and option evaluation in the Utilities Industry for both bespoke, large and complex solutions
- Proven innovation of design to assist with the development of innovative solutions in the delivery of technical OT solutions within waste or water projects
- Demonstrated experience of the considerations given to risk management in construction and OT design
- Experience of influencing a disparate set of stakeholders to deliver design objectives
- Ability to record actions accurately and document findings effectively.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with customers at all levels is essential.
- Ability to think and act independently
Knowledge and Skills
- HNC in a relevant technical subject or significant relevant experience (Cisco CCNA)
- Understanding of remote Monitoring, Control & Automation philosophies in relation to Water and Waste-water treatment
- Experience of SCADA system design and it implementation.
- Knowledge of telemetry standards and protocols (WITS, DNP3 + legacy etc.)
- Product knowledge of OT systems and platforms e.g. Schneider, Rockwell
- Product knowledge of OT and SCADA Hardware e.g. PLC, RTUs
- Good awareness of security both physical and IT-related to Enterprise and Operational Technology (ISA99)
- Good understanding of IP networking and routing protocols, including best practices and design
- Understanding of communications media, serial, digital, fixed and wireless
- TOGAF or similar certification
- Exposure to PLC programming
- Exposure to communications network coverage
- Exposure to installation of loggers
