Randstad is proud to support our amazing client in their search for an elite MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, who is responsible for design of new, or modification to existing equipment/processes, qualification testing, and development/updates of documents within a lean manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

Overview

The successful candidate will support lean initiatives, design of new equipment/processes or modification to existing equipment/processes, qualification testing and development/updates of documents within our lean manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply structured problem solving, lean principals, and best practice process development to drive product and process improvements
  • Designs processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost effective and in keeping with a given budget
  • Planning, implementing and co-ordination of new product introductions which includes but not limited to: product design, product specifications, process validations, identification of training needs, process & equipment lay-out, production procedures, material specifications, material & packaging procurement
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability through new fixture/tool design and/or new technologies
  • Assist in product design whenever is required
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System
  • Demonstrate company values, works with integrity and a supportive corporate member
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions
Qualifications

Requirements
  • Minimum 3-7 years related working experience
  • Experience in process design/development and product design for Manufacturability / Assembly, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Experience in process validation (IQ,OQ & PQ), process FMEA and project management
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong root cause analysis / Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Solidworks, Auto cad and MS Office
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • Lean or Six Sigma training desired
  • 5 Core Requirements for Manufacturing Engineer
  • 3+ years Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong root cause analysis / Problem solving skills/ analytical skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management skills.
