Description
Siemens Energy have several exciting opportunities for Field Service Engineers working on one or more of the following product lines:
Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors & Rotating Equipment.
Your profile
- We are seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals to commission, fault find, maintain and service equipment we have supplied to our customers.
- You are considered to have a professional, proactive and flexible approach to your work
- Have a strong work ethic and able to demonstrate initiative, be a flexible self-starter, working with the minimum direction and have the ability to work with a wide range of people as well as be a team player.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally educated to degree level or have vocational qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- You should be able to demonstrate competency in one or more of the above product lines with experience and/or training to carry out routine maintenance, overhauls, installation & commissioning work
- A desire to cross train on other product lines will be advantageous
- Ability to mobilize at short notice for emergency situations as well being away from home for extended periods including weekends and Bank Holidays
- Working both on and offshore when required
- Hold or be able to obtain offshore working certificates
- Hold a current UK driving Licence
- Have experience of using Boroscopes, Rotalign Laser Alignment and other tooling associated with the work
- Able to interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on Siemens Energy products
- Carry out mechanical Installation & Commissioning activities on newly installed equipment.
- Carry out trouble-shooting and rectifying faults
- Have an understanding of packaged and ancillary equipment.
- Work Safely and in accordance with the companies written operating instructions.
- To take part in product training programmes to ensure continued role competency and/or development.
- Produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and/or improve system reliability and availability.
- Take part in route cause analysis and fault diagnostics as required.
