On iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, the AMP AI+ML Search team enables search for the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV, Podcasts, Books, and more. As a part of the Search Language Science team, you'll be working on query analysis, content processing, intention understanding, and their pipelines, among other things. We're looking for exceptional machine learning engineers to assist with the development of next-generation search features for Apple's cutting-edge devices and platforms. We support millions of users and billions of transactions as part of the Apple ecosystem. We work in dozens of languages and hundreds of countries. Description:
Joining the AMP AI+ML Search Language Science team will have a significant impact on how people search for and find Apple Media content on over a billion active Apple devices around the world. You'll be part of a group that specializes in software engineering, information retrieval, language processing, data mining, machine learning, scalable systems, and parallel processing.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong Java/Scala/C++/Python/Go programming capabilities
- Experience with Hadoop, Java, Scala, and Spark for constructing large data pipelines Knowledge with machine learning algorithms and associated areas
- Understand the principles of search and information retrieval, such as text processing, auto-correction, query comprehension, and content retrieval.
- Building search solutions with Lucene, Solar, ElasticSearch, or other relevant technologies is a plus.
- Understanding of A/B testing and data/metric-driven product creation
- Apple's customers appreciate what we do, and we expect the same from our engineers.

Education & Experience:
