Overview
In a corporate environment, Abacus Technology is looking for a Workstation Technician to provide computer and network assistance to end users. This position is full-time and based in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
Pull cables and rewire or direct the rewiring of cables as needed for new installations and office reconfiguration, as well as install, assemble, and configure computers, monitors, network equipment, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware. Troubleshoot computer system issues, including hardware and software, e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment issues, and make necessary repairs and changes. Assist users with equipment and data problems, implementing fixes or notifying outsource providers as needed. Assist with hardware and software suggestions, including assisting users in determining their needs and justifying the purchase of equipment and services.
Qualifications
Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing computers and related equipment for at least three years. It is necessary to have an associate's degree in electronics, computer science, or a similar discipline. Certification in Security+ CE is required (or hold a similar certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT II). Certification from Microsoft is required. Effective and professional communication is required at all levels of an organisation. A US citizen with a current Secret clearance is required.
