Job Description

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Applies comprehensive medical device engineering knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
  • Contribute to developing policies and procedures.
  • Works on small / medium sized complex projects.
  • Identifies and develops technical solutions to a variety of problems. These solutions meet the objectives of the organization and are innovative.
  • Receives general guidance regarding new projects and completes work independently
  • Develops and implements test methods that support design validation and usability testing.
  • Validates and tests usability according to protocols. Generates reports based on testing data.
  • Documents, evaluates, and tests design solutions in accordance with design inputs.
  • Works on the design of devices and components assigned as an individual technical contributor.
  • Works closely with manufacturing engineers on process development for mass production of medical devices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or currently enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited university
  • Coursework on mechanical or biomedical engineering.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), properly using Solid Works.
  • Spreadsheet operations and data analysis capability with completed coursework on statistics
