About the Company:
SpaceX manufactures and launches the most advanced rockets and spacecraft in the world. Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2002 to revolutionize space transportation with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary. As a result of a series of historic milestones, SpaceX has gained worldwide attention. The company is the only private company to have returned a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit, which it accomplished for the first time in December 2010. In May 2012, the company made history again when its Dragon spacecraft successfully docked with the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth - a feat previously only achieved by governments. As a result, Dragon has delivered cargo to and from the space station multiple times, providing NASA with regular cargo resupply missions.
DESCRIPTION:
SpaceX was founded on the belief that exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than staying on Earth. The ultimate goal is to enable human life on Mars, and SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible.
