Job Description:

Candidate(s) with experience in power transmission and distribution on high and medium voltage equipment relays are specifically sought. Primary responsibilities include assisting with maintenance I&C, commissioning activities and troubleshooting emergent electrical problems within the Houston Region.. The position is a field, travel-type position. Depending on the situation, the travel may be national. Siemens may require this position to support new unit installations and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

• A demonstrable understanding of power distribution and transmission systems is needed
• A background in switchgear, MV or HV circuit breakers is required
• A familiarity with circuit breakers and vacuum switchgear containing SF6 gas.
• Test breakers and high voltage equipment, including analyzing test results and assessing equipment condition
• Must have experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits
• Organizational skills are required to plan work scope, personnel, and equipment logistics
• Experience with directly related equipment for at least four years
• Good communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint; experience with project management software is a plus.
• Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew
• Motivated and a team player; promotes an inclusive work environment and respects diversity
• Must be available to respond to emergency situations and relief missions
