Plans, calculates, designs, develops, tests, and modifies experimental and/or operational mechanical concepts or subsystems.

• Engineers mechanical components.
• Analyzes mechanical components.
• Determines and selects components, materials, parts, and semi-products appropriate for mechanical system design.
• Simulates mechanical design concepts using mechanical models and tolerance analyses.
• Calculates and creates the final layout, including documentation and specifications for parts, assemblies, or finished products.
• Maintains product technical files.
• Provides suggestions for improving existing development procedures.
• Tests design solutions.
• Adds mechanical elements to existing devices to upgrade their design.
• Design/adapt products and solutions according to localization requirements.
